Meet Laela! This sweet girl is about 30 pounds and eager to be the center of someone's world. Having been rescued after being dumped heavily pregnant in the woods, she raised six pups who’ve all found homes. Now it’s Laela’s turn to shine. She thrives on human companionship and would do best in a loving home where someone is around most of the day—think retiree, remote worker, or stay-at-home parent. Laela is fully potty and crate trained, although she has her opinions about daytime crating. She's still discovering the joys of being a dog, starting to play more and gaining confidence day by day. Leash walking is still a work in progress, but she’s making strides. She’s been fostered with other dogs but would prefer to be the only dog in her forever family, wanting all the love and attention to herself. Currently heartworm positive, Laela is undergoing treatment fully covered by Mutts N Such Rescue, allowing her future family to focus on giving her all the love she deserves. This mama has taken care of her babies, and now it’s time for someone to choose her as well. Laela is located in Fort Worth, TX, and available for out-of-state adoption with transport options.
