About Balto
Balto is a charming 4-year-old neutered male Alaskan Husky, currently seeking his forever home. He was found alone at a local park and spent a welcoming night with a kind family who reported he was exceptionally well-behaved around their older children, aged 8 to 18. Although he only met their dog briefly—who mostly just barked at him—Balto proved to be calm and well-mannered. During his time at the rescue, Balto has been delightful on walks, showing keen interest only when squirrels are nearby. He met a larger spayed female dog and displayed a calm demeanor, making their introduction a success. While we know he does well with children and other dogs, Balto has not been tested with cats. It’s important for potential adopters to conduct meet and greets with their own pets to ensure compatibility. Since all our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and current on vaccinations, Balto is ready to join a loving family. Remember the 3-3-3 Rule when adopting: 3 days for decompression, 3 weeks to settle in, and 3 months to build trust.
