Trout is a young male Labrador Retriever mixed breed, around 9 months old. He is a medium-sized dog, with a black and white/cream coat. Trout is already spayed and has up-to-date vaccinations, making him a great addition to your family. He's in Durham, NC and is looking for a loving home!

About Trout

Trout is a special guy who initially won over his foster during a dog-day-out at the shelter, and he has blossomed remarkably since. He can be a bit shy at first, so he’ll need a patient and understanding person to help him feel secure. Once you gain his trust, the real Trout comes alive: goofy, playful, and a bit awkward with those long, lanky limbs, guaranteed to bring laughter. He learns quickly, walks well on a leash, and would thrive with an active adopter who enjoys playing tug or going for runs. Trout is crate trained and is making strides with house training. He enjoys the company of other dogs and would do well with a resident dog to help him adjust, though it’s not essential. If you’re ready for a dog who will reward your kindness tenfold once he opens up, Trout is your guy. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
