Blossom is not just another cat searching for a home. She stands out as a true survivor and a devoted mother, making her a remarkable presence. This young orange tabby has faced and overcome challenges that many can't imagine. As a female orange cat, she’s already part of an elite group—only about 20% of orange cats are female. But what makes Blossom truly exceptional is her fierce love for her baby, Bud, shown during a harrowing moment when they were in danger. Caught in over 40 mph winds while trying to carry her newborn kitten across a busy street, Blossom fought against the odds. In a moment of peril, cars flying by nearly separated them. But this brave mother shielded Bud with her own body, refusing to leave him behind. Luckily, a kind Good Samaritan rescued them just in time. While Bud has since found his forever home, it is now Blossom’s turn to find her safe haven. Blossom is filled with resilience and love, showing the world that her spirit cannot be dimmed despite her past. She deserves a home where she will never again have to fear. She is looking for a special family that will cherish her, provide comfort, and finally allow her to rest easy. Spend some time together in one of our cozy rooms and see if she steals your heart like she has stolen ours. The shelter is open Tuesday to Friday from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. No appointments are needed during these hours.
