Meet Violet! This sweet girl has lived a tough life, knowing only neglect and abuse until she arrived at BAARK. For the first 8 years, she was chained up in a filthy yard, left alone through winter’s cold and summer’s heat. Thankfully, caring neighbors stepped in and rescued her when her previous owners abandoned her. Now at around 8.5 years old, Violet is a beautiful Black Lab mix weighing about 65 lbs. Her soulful eyes reflect her gentle spirit. She communicates well with people, is responsive, and eager to learn, making her a quick study. While she enjoys her time outside in a secure fenced yard with canine friends, she's more interested in affection and snuggles from her humans than playtime with other dogs. On a leash, she walks gracefully, and she loves to tag along on car rides. Despite her age, Violet is still full of life, ready for moments beyond lounging on the couch. She’s fully vetted, heartworm negative, spayed, microchipped, and house-trained. In her foster home, she has the run of the place when left alone. Violet deserves a loving forever home after everything she’s been through.
