About Boxcat Betty
Boxcat Betty is on the hunt for a quiet retirement home, ideally with a senior human who can appreciate her gentle nature. She joined the foster care family last December after spending much of her life in a drain under the street, part of a feral colony. With her declining health, our foster took her in as a hospice cat, but she surprised everyone by bouncing back. Now, knowing warmth and safety, she can’t return to her previous life. Betty is incredibly sweet and wonderfully quirky, a true “hermit cat.” She adores her cozy box or bed, where she spends her days napping, watching the world, and enjoying peaceful companionship. This lovely lady perks up at every pet, purring softly and leaning into your hand as she eats happily before retreating back to her cozy spot. She gets along well with other cats, is friendly even with strangers, and doesn’t require much space—just a nook with a view. Betty thrives in calm environments and would struggle in the hustle of busy adoption events. After years of confinement, Boxcat Betty dreams of a home filled with soft pets and love, and someone to share her golden years with. If you or a loved one are seeking a low-maintenance companion, Betty might just be the perfect match.
