Meet Wyona! Wyona is a gentle and sweet girl currently finding her footing in a pop-up crate at the Animal Care Centers of NYC - Queens due to capacity issues. She's a bit shy at first, but with the right encouragement, she warms up wonderfully. Wyona is dealing with some skin irritation on her back, making her cautious, so she needs a caring person who will prioritize her comfort and well-being. In an ideal home, Wyona would thrive in a calm environment that allows her to take her time adjusting. She seeks a patient adopter who can provide enrichment and support as she learns to trust again. While her history with other pets remains uncertain, she’s met a few dogs at the center and showed some apprehension. Slow introductions will be key, as dog parks are not her thing right now. Wyona would prefer an adult-only home to ensure she gets the personal space and respect she needs while she acclimatizes. Wyona has been through quite a bit, and with a little love and attentiveness, she could blossom into a truly happy companion.
