Surrendered last year with his sister when their previous owners needed to move, King has plenty of energy that makes him feel more like a playful two-year-old than an almost seven-year-old. In his foster home, he loves to dart off with his favorite toys, inviting everyone to join in on the chase. He enjoys tug games and is a happy boy who loves meeting new people, including kids, though he prefers gentle pets over intense cuddles. While King generally gets along well with most dogs, he does have issues with his foster mom’s daughter's husky, so slow introductions are key. He doesn't seem bothered by wildlife like squirrels or deer but can get vocal around lawnmowers, motorcycles, and similar equipment. For his well-being, a rural home would likely suit him best, away from those noisy distractions. One of King’s biggest joys is car rides, with his head out the window enjoying the breeze. Although he tends to retreat to his crate during thunderstorms, he’s a sweet companion who wraps himself around his foster mom's legs for comfort when he's nervous.
