About Nyla
Meet Nyla, a sweet Shih Tzu who is learning to embrace the good in life. This 4-year-old lady came to us a bit worse for wear, but slowly she is discovering a world that can be gentle and safe. Patience is key with Nyla; she’s a nervous girl who takes her time to trust. She’s not a fan of being picked up and might yelp or snap when frightened, so she needs respectful handling and her own space initially. Once comfortable, Nyla truly shines. She loves her walks as long as they stick to sidewalks—wet grass is a definite no-go! Nyla enjoys playing with squeaky toys now and then and gets along well with children aged 4–10. She’s indifferent towards other dogs and does fine when left alone without a crate. Currently, she’s working on housetraining and learning her signals, so a patient home will be vital in her journey. Nyla may require some time to fully thrive, but with a calm and understanding adopter, she's on her way to finding her forever family. If you think you can provide that supportive environment, fill out an application and meet this deserving pup. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
