When she's happy, she hops around the yard like a bunny, and she prefers to pounce on tennis balls instead of just chasing them. Adventure calls her name—car rides are a favorite activity for her, and she’s always eager to hit the road. But don’t let her love for fun distract you; she takes her neighborhood watch duties seriously, always on alert for squirrels, rabbits, and cats. She’s friendly with other dogs but comes with a strong prey drive, meaning she cannot live with cats or small dogs. Her ideal canine companions are calm and easygoing, as Elsie likes to keep playtime focused on fun rather than toy-sharing. With a medium energy level, she thrives on walks, outdoor escapades, and needs a securely fenced yard; a 6-foot rabbit-proof fence is best since she's athletic enough to clear shorter ones. While she is crate trained, she’s quite the escape artist and will need a sturdy kennel when left alone. Currently, she’s about 85% potty trained; she will need a patient family to help her continue improving, especially since she is food motivated and eager to learn commands like "heel" and "stay."
