Meet Vanya. Vanya is a beautiful 3-year-old German Shepherd looking for a loving home after her family made the tough decision to rehome her due to an upcoming move. This change is through no fault of her own. She is spayed, up to date on all her vaccines, and fully crate trained. As a wonderful companion, Vanya enjoys walks, playing fetch with her tennis balls, and spending lazy afternoons at the lake. Her eagerness to learn is fueled by her treat motivation, making training a fun activity for her. At home, Vanya is sweet and affectionate, loving to cuddle with her people. She demonstrates great house manners, steering clear of chewing on furniture or personal items. While she can be curious around food left unattended, she has improved a lot with consistency and training. Although Vanya can be anxious when meeting new people or situations, she soon reveals her loving, loyal personality once she feels safe. She has done well with cats but would thrive best as the only large dog in the home. Allowing her the space to build trust, particularly with some men, will help her feel comfortable and secure. We’re seeking a family that understands the needs of a German Shepherd and can provide Vanya with the structure, exercise, and love she deserves.
