Meet Simba, born on January 13, 2024. This young Domestic Short Hair cat has truly overcome the odds. After being rescued from a life spent outside in the freezing snow, he now exudes warmth and love for those who care for him. Instead of bitterness, he brings gratitude and affection to his new home. Once he feels secure, Simba becomes your ultimate companion. He’ll follow you from room to room, engaging you with his expressive vocabulary and happily curling up beside you for long cuddle sessions. While he prefers snuggling next to you rather than sitting on your lap, he'll purr and gently lick your fingers when held close. Simba has some charming quirks resulting from his past. He loves having company during meals, preferring his human to hold his food dish or stay nearby while he eats. Simba can be shy in new environments and prefers the comfort of a blanket when faced with strangers. But once he trusts you, he blossoms and enjoys being in your presence, exploring and playing with cheer. He's playful yet may give a minor play-bite if overly stimulated during handling. A savvy owner who understands his body language will help him learn gentle boundaries. Although Simba has met other cats without hostility, he would thrive best as the only ruler of his castle or in a home that can manage slow introductions. Due to his past, Simba must remain an indoor cat where he can stay safe and cozy. He's microchipped and his collar needs to fit snugly to prevent escapes. Simba enjoys a specific routine with his food, loving Science Diet dry food and Friskies treats. He’s fully litter trained and uses Fresh Step litter.
