About Honey

Honey is a 6-month-old male Shih Tzu who weighs about 12 lbs. He came to us as a stray, severely matted and likely having endured tough conditions outdoors. It took us four hours just to shave him down, and even after that, we had to take him to the vet for sedation to finish the job and address some health needs. After undergoing neutering, hernia repair, and a baby tooth removal, Honey has been learning to adjust to life in a loving foster home. He was initially a bit confused about how to be a dog, but he’s sweet-natured and has made wonderful progress since arriving. Honey uses pee pads and is currently working on outdoor training. He’s friendly and gets along well with both dogs and children, making him a great fit for any family. Despite his rough start, he’s ready to embrace a bright future filled with love and companionship. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
