About Rocket
Rocket is a striking mix of beauty and brains. This high-energy working breed bundle of joy—part Malinois, Dutchie, GSD, and Boxer—needs a special home that understands his unique needs. He's intense, loyal, and absolutely obsessed with balls and toys, not to mention food driven. This means he requires active engagement and consistent training. Rocket's ideal environment includes breed experience, no young children or cats, and ideally being the only dog. He thrives in households where someone is home most of the time or can take him along on adventures. Patience is key, as he needs help learning that his beloved ball isn’t everything. While Rocket loves his person and craves companionship, he does experience some separation anxiety, though it's manageable with medication and a crate to keep things safe. He’ll need outdoor breaks every 3-4 hours to avoid accidents indoors, and he can hold it longer at night but may need a bathroom break within 6-7 hours. Currently heartworm positive, Rocket is set to begin treatment in September. He’s available for a foster-to-adopt home during this time, but the new adopter must commit to attending his appointments and helping him stay calm and relaxed post-treatment.
