About Carl

Carl is a 1-year-old Great Dane weighing around 120 pounds. His goofy personality shines through, making him an instant favorite here. This affectionate giant loves to cuddle and shower you with kisses. Playtime is a highlight for him, whether it’s tug-of-war or a good game of fetch. He walks well on a leash and enjoys adventures with our volunteers. Recently, Carl underwent a gastropexy to help prevent bloat, a common issue in large breeds, but his recovery has been smooth; nothing keeps this boy down for long. As a young dog, he needs an active and loving family to match his energy. While he’s great with kids and other dogs, he prefers not to live with cats. We’re available Wednesday to Sunday from 12 to 5 p.m. for meet and greets by appointment. The adoption fee is $250 and includes a vet exam, vaccinations, heartworm test, preventative care, deworming, a microchip, and his neuter. Ready to make Carl a part of your family?
