About Psalm
Psalm is a 1-year-old Black Lab bursting with love and youthful energy. At home, he’s surprisingly calm for his age. He's house trained, knows basic commands, and enjoys toys and games, particularly fetch. A true water lover, he thrives on long walks, enjoying morning and evening outings with his foster. This clever boy is highly motivated by treats, making training an enjoyable experience, although he may need reminders that not all food is for him. He currently uses a slow feeder to manage his eagerness at mealtime. Psalm is friendly with everyone, eager to make new friends. While he can get a bit overexcited and jump to greet, he's been improving with training. His enthusiasm extends to other dogs, where thoughtful introductions are necessary to ensure positive play interactions. Psalm has been learning to stay calm around other dogs, and a bit of reinforcement from his new family will help him continue on this path. When walking, he tends to pull towards other dogs, wanting to socialize. His previous training involved a prong collar, which he currently responds well to. Despite his excitement, he knows to sit on command, although he may pout a bit about it! Fetch is a favorite, though he occasionally prefers keeping the ball for his own amusement rather than returning it. Overall, Psalm is a spirited, affectionate dog in search of a family that appreciates the playful side of young Labs. He will flourish with plenty of exercise, structure, and continued training, rewarding you with endless joy, adventure, and, of course, snack time.
