Sweet Indy’s story began in Brockport, where she was found scared and hiding under a car at an apartment complex. Fortunately, some kind Good Samaritans rescued her, getting her vaccinated and cared for before connecting her with us for a safe placement. When Indy arrived at the café, many assumed she was much younger due to her bright, expressive face. But this sometimes grumpy queen is actually 10 years old, and she carries that age with pride. Indy embodies adaptability and thrives at her own pace. She’s gentle and affectionate, showing deep loyalty once she feels settled. Still, she knows what she likes, and she’s not shy about telling her younger companions where they stand. Indy prefers a calm, quiet home with meaningful routines and humans who appreciate her strong opinions. Indy will truly flourish in a relaxed environment where she can explore, nap, and bond in her own time. She’s perfect for someone who values a cat with personality — someone sweet, expressive, and occasionally grumpy.
