About Gordo
Gordo is a 3-year-old house hippo with an inspiring comeback story. Not too long ago, he was found in a pasture, skin and bones, seemingly ready to give up. But Gordo has proven that second chances matter. Now he's healthy, fully vetted, and living his best life. This sturdy, happy boy has rediscovered joy and knows that love and comfort are what make life fulfilling. Gordo approaches new friendships carefully. He requires a slow, respectful introduction, and, yes, treats definitely help. With a calm voice and consistent support, you'll see his true personality: sweet, loyal, and quietly devoted once trust is established. WATER is Gordo's favorite pastime. Whether it's a hose, a kiddie pool, or a splash pad, he's all in, transforming from a serious gentleman to a joyful splasher in no time. It's impossible not to smile watching him have fun. Gordo's ideal home does not include other dogs, and heβs best suited for an adult-only household (18+). He thrives in a calm environment where he can settle in without chaos. If you're patient and willing to invest the time to build trust, Gordo will offer you a rare, steady love. All dogs are fully vetted for adoption, which includes vaccinations, deworming, microchipping, and a spay/neuter if necessary. The adoption fee is $250. Are you ready to welcome Gordo into your life?
