Meet Roo! Her journey began at a crowded shelter in Houston, where she was found in a park with her two little ones. Sadly, one was six months old, and the other was just six weeks, meaning Roo has raised at least two litters, and she's still quite young herself. When she landed on the euthanasia list, a wonderful foster stepped in, giving this deserving mama a second chance. Roo is simply delightful. She’s sweet, affectionate, and easygoing, thriving on human interaction and cuddles. She's been great with every dog she's met, showing her friendly demeanor. Roo isn’t an alpha; she’s more of a submissive sweetheart who would happily share her forever home with a canine companion. She’s remarkably well-behaved at home, using the dog door to potty, resting on her dog bed, and snugly fitting into family life without causing any mischief. However, she does need a cat-free environment, as she will energetically escort any cat that wanders into her yard. Although she can be a bit nervous in the car due to her past experiences, Roo is eager to embrace new adventures with a loving family. She's active and enjoys exploring the outdoors, followed by cozy moments with her people. She knows how to sit and is walk-friendly on a leash, proving that she’ll thrive with further training. Roo has also done wonderfully with kids, including a four-year-old. Estimated to be about 1–2 years old and weighing 55 pounds, she may be an Anatolian Shepherd mix.
