About Brady
Meet Brady. This energetic young adult, possibly a terrier/heeler mix, would make a fantastic addition to an active home. He is medium-sized at around 50 pounds, lively, social, and fits in beautifully with the senior hound mix in his foster home. Brady is housebroken and crate trained, sleeping quietly through the night after his bedtime walk and treat. Brady delights in zooming around a fenced garden, carrying stuffed toys, retrieving balls, soaking up sunshine, going for leash walks, and riding in the car. He is easy to care for, fun to train, and quickly bonds with his humans. Recently completing heartworm treatment, he is now testing negative, needing only monthly prevention to stay clear moving forward. He would do best in a household with children over 12 and no cats. Brady has not been cat tested. However, he may enjoy having a dog friend with similar energy and could be an excellent jogging partner or candidate for agility work. Food motivated and eager to learn, he picks up new skills quickly. Occasionally jumpy and prone to pulling on leash, he is improving in his foster home. He does have a few quirks—being very interested in the vacuum cleaner and loudly reacting to trucks, motorcycles, and delivery vans, so traffic awareness is important during walks. Despite his bursts of outdoor energy, he loves to lie quietly at your feet while you work. Brady is adored by his foster family, and they are committed to finding a great match for him.
