Buddy has a big hound-dog smile that instantly brightens your day. This handsome adult came to UPAWS after his owner passed away and is now looking for a new friend or family. Described as a good boy, Buddy listens well and has a generally laid-back nature. He enjoys walks, car rides, and plenty of couch time. Not only is he house-trained, but he’s also crate trained, striking a nice balance between playfulness and relaxation. Once he settles in, Buddy’s playful side shines through with wagging tails, little hops, and a joyful demeanor. He loves to chew and interacts well, especially when approached gently. Having previously lived with another dog, Buddy might enjoy a canine companion, so a meet-and-greet is advisable to ensure everyone gets along. While Buddy is sweet, he can be sensitive to some handling, particularly around his feet, and may take some time to adjust in a new home. Therefore, he would do best with respectful owners and older children who understand his need for space. Ultimately, Buddy is a sweet hound who delights in companionship and needs someone ready to give him love and a comfortable place to relax.
