About Fruitcake

Meet Fruitcake. Rescued from an overcrowded shelter, she was at risk and very pregnant when she arrived at her foster home. Shortly after, she gave birth to ten puppies, showing herself to be a devoted mother despite her initial fear. Fruitcake is on a journey to learn that humans can be trusted. She greets her foster family with happy tail wags and sweet nose boops but isn't yet comfortable with being touched. She gently takes treats from hands, a sign that she's trying her best. While she currently doesn't walk on a leash, she's already using a doggie door, a great first step towards confidence. Fruitcake needs a quiet, patient home that will allow her to progress at her own pace without pressure.
