About Poppy
Meet Poppy! Poppy is a lovely 4-year-old tricolor Corgi ready to experience love after being rescued from a commercial breeder. She can be quite shy and nervous, particularly around men, but with patience, she's learning to trust again. Over six weeks, she has formed a bond with her foster mom. When feeling overwhelmed, Poppy retreats to her safe spot until she’s ready to come out, so her future family will need to be understanding and allow her space to adjust. Poppy is housebroken, crate trained, and walks well on a leash. She's discovering the joys of cuddling, and while she currently lives with young children and is gentle around them, a calmer home would be ideal for her comfort. Loud noises can make her retreat, but she shows no signs of aggression. A playful, friendly dog in her forever home is essential for her confidence and companionship. A fenced yard is a must, providing her with a secure space to run and play. Although doorways can be intimidating for her at first, she will eventually embrace her surroundings with a little encouragement. Poppy is spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, and microchipped.
