Meet Tessa! Tessa is a 3.5-month-old retriever mix who is sweet, playful and loving. She is a confident little girl who has been comfortable in her foster home since day one and instantly wants to be best friends with everyone she meets! Tessa is thriving in a busy home with children ages 3, 5, 8 and 17. She loves people, toys, treats and running around with her foster brother. She plays wonderfully with other dogs and is even learning to speak up when her much bigger foster brother gets a little too rough. Although she enjoys having a canine playmate, she would likely be just as happy as the only dog as long as she receives plenty of love and attention. Tessa has a moderate puppy energy level. She loves to play but also recognizes when she needs a break and enjoys resting in her crate. She sleeps in her crate overnight and is about 75% crate trained. She is still working on potty training, puppy manners and keeping all four paws on the floor when she gets excited. She already knows “sit” and is eager to keep learning! Leash walking will be new for her. Tessa would fit beautifully into many types of families. She is happiest wherever there is love, attention and activity.
