About Zuri

Welcome, Zuri! This sweet girl comes to us from Parkersburg, WV, where she was surrendered by her owner. Believed to be a cattle dog mix with a hint of Chihuahua, Zuri is currently about 7 months old and has a charming personality. This little pup weighs 21 pounds and likely won’t grow much bigger. Zuri is social and enjoys meeting new people. While she might take a moment to warm up, her tail wags vigorously once she does! She’s had interactions with various dogs of different sizes and has been friendly with all. Although she enjoys playing with other pups, she seems to prefer the company of people. She’s been lovely with children too, having played with child volunteers and even lived with a 3-year-old. With her background, Zuri is well-behaved indoors and easily hops into the car. She appears to be housetrained, has had no accidents, and is progressing on the leash. While she’s not fond of the crate, that’s typical for young dogs. Interestingly, Zuri has a soft spot for men—she follows her foster dad around and gets a bit whiny when he leaves. That said, she’s perfectly fine with women too. Overall, Zuri is a delightful, easygoing puppy who loves to snuggle rather than be crated. She’s spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated, ready to find her forever home. If you think you could be the right family for her, don’t hesitate to apply!
