Meet Bubba! Bubba is a mixed-breed puppy with a big personality, an even bigger heart, and a very special story. When Bubba came to us, we noticed that his left front paw and leg were not quite normal. After veterinary evaluation, it appears he suffered a fracture when he was a very young puppy that healed on its own abnormally. We initially considered amputation, but after seeking veterinary care and getting a closer look at his mobility, we determined that Bubba is able to walk and play comfortably without pain—and his leg is perfectly okay to keep! His little leg may give him some extra character, but it certainly doesn’t slow him down. Bubba is a happy, playful, energetic puppy who loves life and loves having fun. One of his favorite activities is wrestling with other dogs, and he would love a canine friend who enjoys a good game of puppy roughhousing. Bubba currently lives with cats and does well with them. If a cat takes off running, Bubba may decide that’s an excellent opportunity for a game of chase! But he’s also perfectly happy to play with cats who choose to give him attention. Because Bubba is a puppy with a rough-and-tumble play style, he would do best with older children who are comfortable with energetic puppy play and can handle his enthusiasm. Bubba is already neutered and up to date on his vaccinations, and he is ready to find a family who will love his goofy personality, his playful spirit, and his one-of-a-kind little leg.
