Meet Maverick. This lively 18-month-old male Shepherd mix is finding his way after a tough start in life. Rescued from a cruelty case, Maverick arrived at Oklahoma Pet Collective Society with a broken paw, mange, and several other health issues. Thankfully, he is on the mend and showing his true spirit despite his challenging past. Settling into his foster home, Maverick is regaining his fur and getting treatment for heartworms. He’s mostly potty trained, but occasional accidents happen as he adjusts. Crate trained and a fan of snuggling, he’s equally happy to curl up next to you after a play session. While he has some playful energy typical of a Malinois mix, he also enjoys a good cuddle. Maverick gets along well with other dogs and cats, and he might do well in a home with kids, although he can be a bit shy at first. His favorite activities include solving food puzzles and getting all the love he can from his person. With the right support, Maverick will blossom into a confident companion.
