Thanks to that heart-wrenching choice, this sweet dog now has the opportunity to find the loving home he deserves. Due to his past experiences, Doc needs a little time to warm up to new people, especially men. However, once he feels safe, his affectionate side really comes out. He would thrive best in a home with a female primary caregiver who can offer him the patience and understanding he needs to build his confidence. Doc absolutely adores the company of other dogs. Canine friends help him heal and learn that humans can be kind and trustworthy. For this reason, we’d love to see him placed in a home with another friendly and confident dog. A securely fenced yard would give him a safe space to explore and play while gaining confidence. Despite his past, Doc has chosen to trust again.
