Meet our hefty puppy boy named Buster Brown! He is about 4 months old and he came to our shelter after city staff found him wandering in a large park in town all alone. Buster is a very friendly and outgoing boy who just absolutely loves being with people! We really do not know what breed mix he is, but we think he could have some muscular bully breed in him. He currently weighs about 35 lbs and he definitely has some growing to do! Buster Brown is a good eater and we believe he is a very trainable boy. Early on from coming to us he showed us that he much prefers to relieve himself outside. Buster is a very young puppy who will need a patient family that is willing to put in the time and effort it takes to train a puppy. Currently he will still try to mount your leg, but he is learning to listen to correction. He is still a mouthy boy, but putting a toy in his mouth helps with this. Buster Brown in good with other dogs and he can go to a home with children 12 years old and older who have experience with larger dogs. There is a short application for adoption, however if you do not own your home, or you own a condo, we must speak with your landlord or housing association giving permission to dogs/cats. Bully breed specific permission is required if you rent or own a condo. If you own your home, proof of home ownership is required. If there are other pets in the home they must be licensed (if a dog) and up to date on vaccinations. If there is another dog in the home a dog interaction must be done at the shelter before adoption, to ensure the safety and well being of all pets. All children in the home need to be declared and brought down to meet the animal. Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal.
