About Fido
Meet Fido, a young Australian Shepherd mix who’s ready for a fresh start and a loving forever home. At just 7 months old, he weighs approximately 35 lbs and is still growing. Fido is a bit shy and does best in a welcoming environment, especially with a resident dog to guide him. He gets along well with other dogs, making him a great companion for any pup-friendly household. Though he hasn't had much exposure to cats or children yet, the rescue is happy to discuss ways to integrate him into homes with them. Fido dreams of long, adventurous walks and fun days at the park, and he’s eager to learn about the world around him. Currently in a foster home in the DC area, Fido is gradually coming out of his shell with the help of his foster’s resident dog. He’s making strides in crate and house training, and he's been a wonderful house guest. Fido even enjoyed a fantastic day at doggy daycare, where he mingled well with his packmates! If you're looking for a loyal companion to share your life with, Fido might be the perfect fit! Click apply to start the adoption process.
