Meet Maverick, a beautiful one-year-old Great Dane/Collie mix who is ready to put her difficult past behind her and discover just how wonderful life can be. Maverick and her sister, Phoenix, had a rough beginning. They spent the start of their lives at a puppy mill before eventually ending up in a shelter. Thankfully, they were pulled from the shelter and brought to our rescue, where they are finally getting the love, patience, and care they deserve. Maverick is a sweet, affectionate girl who absolutely loves people. She enjoys being around her humans and has a wonderful personality that is impossible not to fall in love with. She also does great with other dogs and loves having canine friends around. At just one year old, Maverick is still very much a youngster and is eager to learn. She is a quick learner, walks on a leash, and is eager to please. She has so much potential and will make someone an incredible lifelong companion. Maverick is spayed and up-to-date on all of her vaccines, so she is ready to begin the next chapter of her life. She didn’t get the start every puppy deserves, but that doesn’t have to define her future. Maverick deserves a family who will give her the chance to experience all the things she missed — car rides, walks, adventures, cozy naps, toys, belly rubs, and most importantly, knowing what it feels like to truly belong
