Dog's Name: Tiny (TIN0826OWSFS) Estimated Breed: Terrier mix Approximate Age: 1-2 years Approximate Weight: 50 lbs Currently Living at: Foster Adoption Fee: $400 DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Meet Tiny – Sweet, Loving, and Ready for Her Forever Home! Tiny was adopted as a young puppy and recently has come back to us through no faullt of her own. Her family's circumstances have changed and they can no longer give her the care she needs. Tiny is a loving, energetic, and very affectionate dog who is looking for a family that can give her the time, patience, and attention she deserves. She is a wonderful combination of playful and cuddly. She loves belly rubs, cuddles, playing, and spending time with her people. She can be very energetic when it's time to play or go outside, but she also spends a lot of her day happily sleeping and relaxing. One of the things we love most about Tiny is how obedient and loving she can be with babies and children. She enjoys playing with them and is very affectionate. She is also good with other dogs and cats. Tiny can be fearful, especially in situations that are unfamiliar or overwhelming. Because of this, she needs a patient and understanding family who will give her time to build confidence and feel safe. She would do best in a loving home where her family is willing to work with her gently and consistently. Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family. Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets. Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.
