About Brownie
Meet Brownie! This lovable, goofy, and deeply devoted 3-year-old Border Collie/Australian Shepherd mix is eagerly waiting for his forever family. Weighing in at about 52 pounds, he perfectly balances being a playful outdoor adventurer with a cozy indoor cuddle buddy. A few enthusiastic rounds of fetch with his squeaky ball or frisbee brighten his day, but he’s also content to nap on the couch or follow you around the house. Though he may be shy when entering new spaces, Brownie's personality truly shines once he feels at home. He is affectionate, intelligent, and endlessly entertaining. While he isn’t highly food-motivated, toys and playful interaction are excellent ways to connect with him. His experience around children has been remarkable; Brownie has lived with young kids and is gentle, patient, and attentive. He happily engages in family routines and integrates well into lively gatherings. Brownie is potty trained, neutered, microchipped, and current on vaccinations. He’s comfortable around a crate but hasn’t relied on one while in foster care. Enjoying car rides, he settles nicely when safely secured. He has no resource guarding issues and eats comfortably around people. This affectionate boy thrives with regular companionship, playtime, and mental stimulation. His ideal home features a securely fenced yard, as he loves to explore. While he is still building confidence during neighborhood walks, he has made strides with quieter encounters and patient guidance. A secure setup and mindful door management will be crucial, given his athleticism. Brownie would benefit from an adopter who is home often and is willing to continue nurturing his confidence. Though his experience with other dogs is limited, a careful introduction would be necessary, and he has not been tested with cats. This sweet boy longs for a place to belong, promising to bring enthusiasm, gentleness, loyalty, and abundant love to the right family. Your new best friend is just one click away.
