Meet Chesty! Chesty is a 5-year-old neutered mixed-breed Pit Bull with a heart as big as his 65-pound frame. After losing his owner unexpectedly, he faced a tough week alone without food or water, which has left him a bit anxious when left alone at first. However, with reassurance, he quickly learns that you'll always return. Chesty is currently kennel trained and showing great progress. This sweet boy loves people more than anything. He thinks he’s a lap dog, enjoys snuggling with his foster humans, and will happily lounge in a hammock on a sunny day. Chesty is friendly and affectionate, eager to become part of your family. Chesty’s intelligence shines through, especially since he’s food motivated, making him a joy to train. He picks up new skills quickly, particularly when treats are involved. He gets along well with other dogs, including small breeds, although his exposure to small children and cats has been limited. At 65 pounds, he’s a strong dog, ideal for someone comfortable with handling a large, powerful companion who is committed to ongoing training.
