Meet Oreo, or Rio for short! This affectionate girl is about one and a half years old. She may be a mix of Rat Terrier and Chihuahua, with a long body perfect for her small size of around 11 lbs. Oreo's journey began as a stray, so she is still adjusting to certain situations, but she's come a long way and is now a happy companion. Oreo loves interacting with people and gets especially excited when she recognizes familiar faces. While she enjoys being around kids, her energy can overwhelm smaller children, making older kids a better fit. She’d thrive with another dog near her size to keep her company, as she doesn’t like being alone. This laid-back girl appreciates her cozy dog bed and is ready for fun outings, walking nicely on a leash. Oreo has a playful side too, often amusing her foster mom by carrying around her empty food bowl and skillfully claiming attention when it’s time for pets. Oreo is housebroken, spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations, heartworm prevention, and flea and tick meds. If you think you can provide the loving home Oreo deserves, don’t hesitate to reach out to her foster mom for more info. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
