Comfort in Caring Herbie and Starzee have found comfort in each other, and together they've created their own little romance. Both have had a rough start in life. Starzee, just under a 1 1/2 years old, had to have all of her teeth removed because her body was rejecting them. She is so much happier now and enjoys both wet and dry food, and loves playing with the laser toy. At 61⁄2 years old, Herbie was left behind when his owners moved and the mobile home park where he lived was being demolished. He was adopted, but after a few months, he was returned when he wasn't coming around and he remained fearful. These two have been fostered together for more than six months, and their bond has blossomed. You'll find them together on the windowsill, or snuggled under a bureau. They truly find comfort in one another. They will need a cat savvy quiet, patient, understanding home, as it took Herbie several months to learn to trust and accept love. Now, he greets his foster mom each morning with loud cries to let her know he's ready for breakfast—and he even gives head bumps! Starzee is right beside him, ready for her morning love, too. They may need 3–6 months or more to fully settle in, but if you're willing to give them the time and patience they need, these two are absolutely worth the wait. Sometimes, the greatest comfort comes from having someone who understands exactly what you've been through. Herbie and Starzee have found that in each other.
