Meet Shadow, lovingly nicknamed Principal McGee by her foster mom! Her foster family named all of her kittens after characters from Grease, and now that her five kittens are weaned, Shadow is officially ready for her next chapter. She has been spayed and is ready to leave mom life behind and become the loving house cat she was always meant to be. Shadow is an incredibly friendly girl who doesn't need much time to warm up. She greets new people by rubbing around their ankles and is more than happy to hop into your lap for some head scratches. And if you're paying more attention to your phone than to her? Well, she has no problem gently knocking it out of your hand to remind you where your attention belongs! She isn't an overly energetic cat, although that's probably understandable after raising five energetic kittens all day! She enjoys relaxing and lounging, but she does have a playful side. She loves a good scratching pad, especially when it's sprinkled with catnip, and rolling around in catnip is one of her favorite activities. She'll even bat the balls around on a ball tower for a while before deciding it's time for another cozy nap. Shadow is sweet, caring, loving, calm, and wonderfully social. One of her best qualities is how quickly she accepts new people. She would love a home where she can receive plenty of attention and never have to wonder if she's forgotten again. She's also quite the helpful little housekeeper. If you're sweeping, she'll happily "help" by sitting right in the pile you've just swept up. She also loves a good meal, canned food, fresh water, and the occasional Churu treat, which just happens to be one of her favorites. Shadow would likely do well in many different types of homes. She could make an excellent first cat for someone new to feline companionship, but she could also be a wonderful companion for another friendly cat who is looking for a buddy rather than a wrestling partner. Shadow's life was turned upside down just as she was preparing to give birth. She entered foster care, had five kittens, and devoted herself completely to taking care of them. Through all of the changes, she remained one of the sweetest and friendliest momma cats around. She's spent her time caring for everyone else. She deserves a family who will love, spoil, and care for her just as much as she has cared for her kittens.
