Meet Floki! This one-year-old husky mix is ready to find his forever home and fall head over paws for the right person. Floki has had quite a journey. Abandoned as a puppy and spending too long in a shelter, he was even placed on the euthanasia list before being rescued and brought across the country for a fresh start. Now, he’s showing off just how much love he has to give. Floki is friendly with everyone he meets, but he forms a deep bond with one special person, showering them with affection and loyalty. He has a bit of a history with abandonment, which makes him cherish cuddles and companionship. If you’re looking for a new best friend, Floki would love to be your little spoon at night, greeting you with morning kisses as soon as you wake up. When he feels lonely, he lets out the sweetest howls. Despite being a husky, Floki is more of a couch potato than a high-energy pup. He walks nicely on a leash, is fully house-trained, and doesn't require crating, though he prefers the freedom of being loose in the house. Floki is also a smart boy who enjoys playtime with squeaky toys. He’s food motivated and loves treats like blackberries, cucumbers, chicken, eggs, and a splash of coconut oil. He gets along well with other dogs once he’s warmed up, and he’s fine with cats as long as they don’t run. Currently in a lively household with adults, an elderly family member, a six-year-old girl, another husky, and two cats, he knows how to fit in. He is entering his teenage phase, which sometimes brings out a "me first" attitude that needs gentle boundaries, but underneath it, he is a good boy eager for love and belonging.
