Big, beautiful,handsome hound! Meet Gunner, a gorgeous Bluetick Coonhound who looks like he stepped straight out of a breed calendar. His big ears, velvety coat, and those classic hound good looks make him quite the head-turner! Gunner was previously said to be a working and hunting dog. While those instincts can be a wonderful part of who he is, continued training, enrichment, and responsible handling are always recommended to help keep those hound instincts sharp! Despite being a hound, we haven't heard a single classic hound-style peep from him yet! Maybe he's saving his voice for his forever family! Gunner is a gentle, docile boy who takes his time building trust. He's dog-neutral and incredibly tolerant of his canine friends, often preferring to simply sniff around, explore, and do his own thing-which is very much in keeping with his independent hound nature. He has so much potential to blossom with someone patient who is willing to give him the time and space he needs to feel comfortable. When he trusts you, he will lay that big head in your hand and flash some big puppy eyes.
