Parker is a remarkable dog who makes you wonder how anyone could have let him down. At 1 year old and weighing 40 pounds, this Lab/Bulldog mix is a sweet, gentle, and lovable big baby with a heart of gold. Rescued from a rural shelter in Texas, he made his way to Colorado seeking a fresh start. When Parker arrived, he was understandably shy and confused by the sudden changes in his life. However, he quickly thrived in his foster home, showcasing a newfound happiness and confidence that shines through his personality. He absolutely loves being around other dogs, which elevates his spirit; having a doggy friend is essential for him. Currently, he shares his foster home with two other dogs and flourishes with their companionship. Parker is also great with kids, having thrived in homes with children aged 7, 10, and 15. This affectionate gentleman enjoys cuddles, belly rubs, and gives gentle kisses right on the nose. He is not just a playful companion; he is a family dog who simply wants to be close to his people and soak up as much love as he can get. Described by his foster family as a wonderful house guest, he is completely house and crate trained, good on a leash, and loves toys. Parker would thrive in a home where he receives ample time and attention, as his gentle and affectionate nature truly deserves it. He isn’t suited for full-time work-from-home families, as he needs companionship throughout the day. Parker is up to date on his vaccinations and will be neutered/microchipped before arriving in Boulder. If those procedures aren't completed before his journey, Farfel’s will cover the costs.
