She’s very Shepherd-like—she’s talkative, active, curious, and always ready to be involved in whatever you’re doing. Nell can be a little unsure when faced with new things, and that uncertainty may come out as barking or some leash reactivity. With patience, confidence-building, and a little guidance from her person, she’s learning that the world isn’t so scary. She’s incredibly smart and catches on quickly when given clear direction. So far, Nell has been *dog-friendly and cat-friendly*. She still has some puppy behaviors to work on, but she’s eager to learn and responds well to correction and structure. She would thrive with someone who enjoys training, will give her appropriate outlets for her energy, and is willing to help her build confidence through new experiences. Nell isn’t looking for a perfect home—she’s looking for a committed person who will help her become the amazing dog she’s capable of being.
