About Merle HaggardKain
Meet Merle HaggardKain, a spirited gentleman who may be considered a senior but definitely doesn’t act like one. Despite being blind in his left eye and only seeing shadows with his right, he navigates his surroundings with remarkable confidence. Merle enjoys the company of other dogs and would thrive with a female companion to help him settle into a new home. He’s not a huge fan of being picked up due to some past scars, but he loves gentle scratches behind the ears while being held. At night, Merle enjoys snuggling up next to his foster sisters, whether on a dog bed or in the humans’ bed, and he sleeps soundly through the night. He prefers not to be crated as he’ll bark, but he behaves well when left out. Merle is also learning about leash walking, which is a new experience for him. He has encountered children but tends to avoid the younger ones, opting instead for older kids and teens. Merle yearns for a forever home where he can feel safe, loved, and pampered just like he believes he deserves! Your new best friend is just one click away.
