Meet Maya, an adorable 2-year-old Sato weighing in at 34 lbs. Her expressive face and charming little ears make her a delightful presence, and her smile is contagious. This affectionate pup brings joy to everyone she meets, brightening up even the cloudiest day. Though she’s still getting used to home life, Maya shows resilience and intelligence typical of Satos, Puerto Rican street dogs known for their loyalty. Initially timid in new environments, she'd thrive with an adopter who can give her the time to adjust and build her confidence. Her sweet personality shines through quickly, and she's already made great strides in her foster care, enjoying playtime with other dogs, cozy cuddles on the couch, and a loving family atmosphere. Fully house trained and leash trained, Maya sleeps soundly in her crate, making her an easy companion. She's eager to learn and responds well to treats, especially around kids and other dogs. As she continues to grow more comfortable, it’s clear what a special dog she is. Maya is currently being fostered in Baldwin, MD.
