If a smaller dog is more your size, Bruno came into rescue when his owner passed away. This previous owner was not his first but she was a safe place to land for a scared dog. It's the story that most of the rescue animals tell - their previous owners fail them, either medically, nutritionally, emotionally or behaviorally, and we are left to pick up the pieces of a "broken" spirit and do our best to make them whole again! We are so proud of this little guy! He was used to protecting himself and he was not comfortable with any stranger. Today, this little loving guy is brave, trusting and has become a wonderful, affectionate companion pup! With the help of patient trainers at Paws Behind Bars, he is now ready to find that "furever family" who will be his everything and give him the comfort and love that was missing in his past! He knows many commands, sit, down, "ready", stay, walks well on a leash. Bruno is a small breed Chiweenie, male, fully vetted and under 3 years of age.
