Autumn’s story is a poignant one. She and her brother were left abandoned as tiny puppies in Hockley, forced to fend for themselves. They found shelter in a cornfield, but tragically, her brother didn’t survive, and Autumn faced unimaginable challenges, including being shot. Despite this, she has grown into a resilient girl who is slowly learning to trust people after being rescued. Now about 2.5 years old and weighing 50 lbs, Autumn is a German Shepherd mix. She has made incredible progress, moving from hiding in a crate to choosing to relax next to her foster family, a remarkable triumph for this brave pup. Autumn thrives around other dogs and needs a confident canine companion to guide her in a new home. She loves to play, enjoys cuddling with her dog friends, and treasures her toys. Whether it’s tossing a ball or chasing butterflies, she brings joy to those around her. While she is still learning to entirely trust humans, her soft body language and kind spirit indicate a willingness to learn and grow.
