About Tin
Meet Tin, a delightful 33-pound bundle of energy and personality! Just a few weeks ago, he faced the dire consequences of being on a euthanasia list, but now he’s ready for a fresh start with a forever family. At about 1 year old, Tin is a mix of English Setter and Australian Shepherd. He is not only incredibly smart and affectionate but also loves training, making him an ideal companion for someone who enjoys an active lifestyle. Since joining the rescue, Tin has been making impressive strides in learning leash manners, basic commands, and impulse control. He has been working hard to keep his four paws on the ground and stay calm around distractions. His progress has been significant, but he needs an adopter who can maintain the structure and consistency he thrives on. Tin is dog-friendly with proper introductions, but he does not get along with cats, as he finds chasing them too tempting. He is also not suited for homes with small children until he refines his excitement and mouthing habits. Fully house trained, Tin is eager to learn and become the perfect companion. His ideal home would be active and patient, offering plenty of exercise, enrichment, and continued training. While Tin isn’t fully trained yet, his goofy and intelligent nature alongside his eagerness to please signals he has tremendous potential.
