About Tank
Meet Tank, a big, handsome guy who truly lives up to his name. At six years old and weighing over 15 pounds, he’s a substantial feline who thrives in a calm, quiet environment. Tank was surrendered to the shelter recently, and we’re looking for a forever home where his needs for a peaceful atmosphere are met. Unfortunately, black cats often get overlooked. Tank may not have striking patterns, but he offers plenty of love and companionship to someone willing to see beyond his coat color. He can be a bit sensitive and is prescribed an inexpensive anxiety medication, which helps him manage stress and feel more comfortable in his surroundings. Tank should be the only pet in the home to ensure he feels secure. He would also do best in a household without children under 12, as the energy and noise of younger kids can be overwhelming for him. What he really seeks is a safe, zen-like environment where gentle interactions are the norm. His ideal adopter will understand the importance of giving him space and respecting his boundaries. If you think you can provide the calm and caring home that Tank needs, our adoption consultant would love to discuss his requirements with you in detail.
