Well, hey there! My name is Cane! Although, everyone tells me I look like Scooby Doo, I can't say they're wrong! I am a large mixed breed dude weighing about 60lbs. I'm neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and up to date on my heartworm testing. My past isn't as bright as one would hope, but my future is going to be so much brighter. My previous owners were unkind to my sister and me, so I was removed from their care. You see, we were just puppies when they got us, and they weren't patient with us. They weren't prepared for our puppy behavior and chose not to train us kindly. Full disclosure: I am very nervous meeting new people at first, but I warm up quickly to tasty snacks and slow pets. I have a lot of energy, so an active family, or a home with another dog would probably work out well for me, because I love to play hard! I'm not sure how I would do living with cats, as I can't remember if I've ever lived with one before. A home with older kids who can help me manage my energy and allow me my space would probably be best. I will definitely need an owner with some patience as I still need some help with my basic manners, but the shelter says I have nothing but potential!
