Hook is a sweet, social, confident and curious cat who loves people. She adores chin scratches, pets, and spending time with her people, but she is more of a "beside you" cat than a lap cat. She'll happily keep you company, give little licks, and supervise whatever you're doing. She prefers the company of people to cats, but will likely do well with friendly cats and possibly cat-savvy dogs. In foster care she has shown curiosity rather than fear toward the resident pets, though she has not directly interacted with them. Hook is playful and inquisitive. She absolutely loves feather toys and exploring new spaces. She is clean, gentle, and food motivated. Gravy-style wet food, Delectables lickable treats, and Churu tidbits are her favorites in foster care. She makes an adorable little trilling sound whenever treats are on offer. Hook's future family should know that she is an explorer and loves to dash through open doors. Her foster mom suspects she may have had outdoor experience before coming into rescue, so she'll need a home that is mindful when opening doors that lead outside. She also prefers not to be petted at the base of her spine or tail, but she sets boundaries gently. She has a tendency to use the litter box standing up, so her forever family should have enough vertical space in the litter box area to accommodate that preference. Hook is a loving, curious, treat-motivated companion who would thrive with people who enjoy an affectionate cat with an adventurous spirit.
