Meet Chuck! This short, stocky, 45-pound bundle of love looks like a heart-melting bulldozer. We believe he is a mix of English Bulldog and Pittie. Chuck came from a tough past (where he was kept in an outdoor kennel). Despite that he doesn't have a single mean bone in his body and is simply the sweetest, happiest boy you will ever meet. His face radiates non-stop, contagious joy just from being indoors, feeling safe, and soaking up love all day long. Energy & Companionship: Chuck has fantastic puppy energy and a total passion for play! He thoroughly loves other dogs and currently thrives in his foster home alongside three resident dogs with very different temperaments. He hasn't been tested with cats yet, but we are happy to do so upon request. Health & Special Care: Chuck is heartworm negative and fully up to date on all vet care. He does have managed allergies (grass and specific foods). But he is doing very well on a special diet paired with a daily prescription allergy pill. Expensive prescription food not required. Limited-ingredient brands are available at Pet stores. With this routine, he handles going out in the yard just fine. While he boasts a beautiful, soft coat, his mangled ears were neglected in the past and just need a quick, routine wipe-down now and then to stay clean. His allergy list will be provided. House Habits: He is almost fully house-trained and working hard on perfecting his potty habits in his foster home! Location & Transport: Fostered in Mississippi, but we partner with a fantastic rescue transport network to get him to the right home. Adoption Requirements: Homeowners Preferred: Due to breed-specific rental and insurance restrictions, we prefer applicants who own their home.
